I love Def Jam Poetry.
It encourages and allow people to speak out their thoughts and opinions, with respect through poetry in such a beautiful way. I think shows like this should be made available more to the public, especially to younger kids in our generation.
Youth Speaks is a perfect example of an organization that provides young teens, a place where their voices can be heard loud and clear:
"Shifting perceptions of youth by combating illiteracy, alienation and silence to create a global movement of brave new voices bringing the noise from the margin to the core."
